Invisible walls

You've gone so far away,
where no wave can reach.
My body stood where I fit,
but the mind went astray.

Dreams like stars, swaying
in an ocean of nothingness.
Deep-skin scars unveiling
a broken, ill consciousness.

And in this small room I dwell,
waiting, rotting, drying, aging
under the hiss of doom's spell,
in some darkness never fading.

But there's a place of “what if”,
a secret realm the eyes can't see.
An ethereal prison I'll always be,
where I long for you, my bailiff.
