Before you devour me,

before hunger and anger

consume

any trace of sanity,

before the frenzy

- the blood-driven trance,

before you sink your teeth

in my corrupted flesh,

before you dismember me

- in blind ecstasy,

before you feast on my bowels,

can't we just stay a little like this?

Can we just be who we were,

even if it's just for a second?

Before our worlds fall apart,

can you hold me in your arms one last time?
